This page exists to draw a clear line around what this site is and what it is not. If you have arrived here looking to buy a parking space, to see whether a particular car park has spaces left for a given morning, or to get a guaranteed price for a specific date, this article tells you plainly that this site does not do those things. It also tells you where to go instead.
This site compares and explains official options
The job of this site is comparison and explanation. We take the official information that airports and other parking operators publish about their own products and set it out side by side so that a reader can understand the differences between one option and another. That is the whole scope. We describe what a car park is, how it is positioned, what the operator says about it, and how it differs from the alternatives. We do not add a layer of our own commercial service on top of that description.
Because the site is a reference and comparison resource, the useful work happens in two places. The first is the background material that explains how airport parking generally works and what the categories of product mean. The second is the side-by-side comparison view itself, which you can reach at /compare/. If you want to know what this site is for before reading the limits, the overview at /about/ sets that out.
Does this site sell parking?
No. This site does not sell parking. It is not a booking agent, it is not a reseller, and it does not take payment for a parking product. Nothing on this site is a transaction. When you read a comparison here, you are reading an explanation of options, not an offer to supply one of them.
That distinction matters because the buying step belongs to the operator, not to us. The official operator pages are where a booking is actually made, where a contract is formed, and where the terms that govern that contract live. A good example of an official operator page is the London Gatwick parking information at https://www.gatwickairport.com/Airport_Parking. That page is published by the airport itself and it is the place where the airport describes its own car parks, its own booking process and its own rules.
Because we do not sell parking, we also cannot amend, cancel, refund or transfer a booking. If you have a booking question, it has to go to whoever you booked with. The Gatwick parking FAQ, for example, explains that a booking made on the airport's own website can be changed or cancelled up to 24 hours before the time of arrival, and that this is done by logging in to myGatwick and viewing 'Order History'. That is the operator's rule about the operator's bookings. It is not a rule of this site, and this site cannot apply it, vary it or act on it. If your booking was made somewhere else, you must check that provider's own terms, because this site does not hold them and cannot speak for them.
Is availability live?
No. This site never shows live availability. There is no live inventory feed here, no real-time count of spaces, and no indicator of whether a given car park is full or has room on a given date. If you need to know whether a specific car park has space for a specific arrival time, this site cannot tell you, and you should not read anything here as if it could.
Availability is a live operational matter that belongs to the operator. It changes minute by minute as other people book, cancel and arrive. The only reliable place to check it is the operator's own booking system. For Gatwick, that means the airport's own parking pages; the airport states that it is always recommended to pre-book parking online for the best rate, and that if you need to arrive without a booking, the Roll-up prices can be viewed online. Both of those statements are about the airport's own live system, not about anything reproduced here.
The same principle applies at every other airport. This site describes options; it does not observe them in real time. Where this site is silent on whether a particular car park is open, full, closed for works or accepting drive-up customers on a particular day, the answer is that this is not stated here, and the reader must check the official operator page for that airport before travelling.
Where do prices come from?
Prices on this site are not quotes and they are not generated by this site. Where a price figure appears in our material, it is reproduced from what the official operator has published, and it is presented as an explanation of how that operator prices its product rather than as an offer to you at that figure.
The clearest illustration of why this matters comes from the operator's own wording. London Gatwick states that the cost of parking at the airport varies by car park, date of travel and length of stay. That is a statement about how the airport's pricing works: the same car park can cost different amounts depending on which of those three variables applies. A figure that is accurate for one combination of car park, date and duration will not be accurate for another.
Because of that, any price you see here should be treated as illustrative background, not as the price you will be charged. The price you will actually be charged is determined by the operator at the point of booking, on the operator's own system, for your specific car park, date and length of stay. To get an actual price you must go to the official operator page and run a quote for your own details. For Gatwick that is the airport's own parking pages, including the Roll-up prices the airport says can be viewed online.
This site also does not state any fee, charge, surcharge, cancellation penalty or refund entitlement of its own, because it has none to state. It does not set prices, does not discount them, does not guarantee them and does not hold them. If a price changes between the time you read about it here and the time you book, the operator's system is authoritative and this site is not.
What this site does not claim about rights or rules
This site does not give legal advice and does not state legal rights or regulatory requirements as if they were its own. Where consumer protection matters are relevant to air travel, the authoritative source in the United Kingdom is the Civil Aviation Authority. The CAA's consumer rights material, at https://www.caa.co.uk/passengers/protecting-your-rights/consumer-rights-and-obligations/, explains that as a consumer you have important legal rights when the flight you are booked on is delayed or cancelled. That is the CAA's statement about the CAA's subject area. It is not a statement by this site, and this site does not extend, interpret or apply it.
If you have a question about your rights as a passenger, about delays, cancellations, baggage problems or complaints, the correct route is the CAA's own pages and the airline's own complaints process. This site does not handle complaints, does not adjudicate disputes, and does not represent you in any claim.
What this site does not do: a short list
- It does not sell parking, take bookings or accept payment.
- It does not show live availability, live capacity or real-time space counts.
- It does not quote prices for your specific car park, date and length of stay.
- It does not guarantee any price, rate or outcome.
- It does not amend, cancel, refund or transfer bookings.
- It does not set or apply the operator's terms and conditions.
- It does not give legal advice or state passenger rights as its own.
- It does not provide security assessments or certification claims of its own.
Where to check instead
For anything transactional or time-sensitive, go to the official source. For Gatwick parking, bookings, changes, cancellations and Roll-up prices, the airport's own parking pages are the authoritative place, and the airport's FAQ covers how to view, amend or cancel a booking made on its website. For passenger rights, delays and cancellations, the CAA's consumer pages are the authoritative place.
For the comparison view this site does provide, use /compare/. For what this site is and how it is intended to be used, see /about/. Everywhere else, the operator speaks for itself.
Why we state the limits so plainly
A comparison site is only useful if a reader knows exactly what it is doing. If you believe a page here is selling you a space, you will expect it to hold that space, and it cannot. If you believe a figure here is a live quote, you will expect it to be honoured at checkout, and it will not be, because the operator prices by car park, date and length of stay and only the operator's system can produce your actual figure. If you believe a green indicator here means a car park has room, you may drive to an airport on a false assumption, and this site never shows availability at all.
So the limits are not a disclaimer bolted on at the end. They are the description of the product. This site compares and explains official options. It does not sell parking. It never shows live availability. Prices come from what operators publish, and the only figure that binds anyone is the one the operator gives you on its own system for your own dates. Where this page has not covered a point, it is because the evidence available to us does not cover it, and the reader must check the relevant official operator or authority page directly.
