How a parking total is calculated.

The figure is a calculation from a published drive-up tariff, not a reservation quote.

Start with the airport-local clock

Enter the time your car enters and leaves the car park in UK local time. We calculate the elapsed minutes between those times, including any daylight-saving change. The missing or repeated hour on a UK clock-change day is rejected rather than guessed.

Apply the published band

For a stay within the first 24 hours, the official on-the-day table supplies a band. For longer stays, the first-day amount and any published subsequent-day amount are added, with part of an extra day charged as a full day where the airport table says “each subsequent day”. Gatwick Long Stay publishes a free first two hours and a different first-day and later-day tariff; Heathrow Terminal Parking and Gatwick Short Stay publish bands. The source ledger lists every official page.

Keep unknown prices unknown

Pre-booked parking prices vary with the dates and availability. Without an approved date-specific feed, those choices are shown without a total and with a direct link to the airport's official quote. If our tariff verification becomes older than 30 days, the calculator stops showing that numeric total until a source review is completed.

A calculated drive-up total is useful for comparison, but it is not a price guarantee or a live availability check. Confirm vehicle rules and the final amount with the airport.

Try your own stay

Change the terminal, dates or transfer preference and see what remains comparable.
